    Granite Countertop Installation in Arizona

ProWorx Restoration fabricates and installs granite countertops across the Phoenix metro as part of our full-service kitchen remodeling practice. Granite remains one of the most durable countertop materials available — naturally heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and visually unique because no two slabs are the same.
In Arizona, granite holds up exceptionally well to desert conditions. Direct sunlight through kitchen windows won't fade it, hot cookware won't scorch it, and our 5-year penetrating sealer keeps Phoenix hard water from etching the surface. The one trade-off vs. quartz is annual maintenance — granite needs occasional resealing to stay stain-resistant, especially around the sink and cooktop zones.
We work with every major Valley slab yard so you walk the yard and pick the literal slab that goes into your home — no surprises when it shows up. Pairs naturally with broader countertop installation, sink installation, and cabinet installation.

    Our Granite Installation Process

Step 1: walk the slab yard together and tag your slabs. Step 2: digital templating on site after cabinets are set (1–2 hours). Step 3: fabrication at the yard (7–14 days). Step 4: install day — demo old tops, dry-fit and shim, seal seams with color-matched epoxy, apply 5-year penetrating sealer, hook up sink and faucet, silicone caulk all edges. Kitchen is typically functional again the same day.

    Granite in Arizona Conditions

Granite is one of the best-suited countertops for Phoenix kitchens. UV exposure doesn't fade it (a problem with some quartz colors near big windows). Heat tolerance handles direct-from-oven pans without trivets. The main consideration is sealing — Phoenix's 10–18 grain/gallon water leaves mineral deposits that can etch unsealed granite over time. We apply a 5-year sealer at install and recommend resealing every 2–3 years thereafter.

    Slab Grades & Edge Profiles

Granite is sold in three commercial grades: Level 1 (entry, simpler patterning, $40–$60/sq ft installed), Level 2 (mid-range, more dramatic veining, $60–$80/sq ft), and Level 3+ (exotic, rare slabs, $80–$150+/sq ft). Standard edge profiles are eased, bullnose, ogee, and beveled — included in base pricing. Premium edges (ogee bullnose, mitered waterfall, double ogee) add $10–$25/linear ft.
